A Belgian  shop has received a strange donation, an old album with photos showing a mysterious woman standing next to world famous movie stars.

After receiving a special donation, the Opnieuw & Co store (Mortsel) posted a message searching for the owner of the photo album who they guessed to be the same woman who posed with world-famous entertainment stars.

Normally, they will get rid of any personal photos found in donations, but with this album, they decided to try to find the whereabouts of the woman in the photo via social networks.

Finally, the whereabouts of the woman is also determined by social network residents. That’s Maria Snoeys-Lagler, a former member of the Hollywood Foreign Journalists Association (HFPA – with about 90 members from 55 countries playing an important role in identifying the Golden Globe Award. HFPA is present all over the world, from luxurious parties, luxury shows, where filmmakers and movie stars all want to win their hearts).

Journalist Maria does not seem to be working officially for a newspaper, but looking at the photos in this album it is clear that Maria Snoeys-Lagler met almost all of the biggest television and stage world icons. She died in 2016 at the age of 87.

A Belgian television program has helped the store connect with Snoeys-Lagler’s daughter and will send this photo album to her family in California (USA).

No one is sure why this album is in Belgium and who brought it to the second hand store in the first place.
