Szilard Janko, underwater photographer, and cinematographer records footage of diver Nikki Brady stroking leopard sharks in the Bahamas.
The video shows the shark approaching Brady and she reacts by gently touching and stroking the animal.
Sharing on Storyful, cinematographer Janko said that it is important for divers to make eye contact and keep calm when a shark swims too close to them.
“Leopard sharks can be curious, but they don’t eat humans like they do in movies or in the media,” Janko said. However, he also advises people not to verify this without the presence of professional divers.
